15 Things We Love About the New 2015 Toyota Sienna

Everyone has seen the viral advertisements from Toyota about the new 2015 "Swagger Wagon."  We have all laughed at the truth in the ad about parenthood and being "cool" enough to embarrass your kids sufficiently, partying hard until 9pm, and sneaking sips of apple juice from the toddler's sippy cup.  Let's be honest, we love those ads.  It has been connecting parents everywhere to the beautiful chaos that is having kids, commiserating in the joyful, crazy lives we lead day in and day out, so much so that finding the humor in it is just as beautiful as your kid saying "I love you," through choking sobs while you're trying to scrub a mystery substance scented with banana and mud off of their face.  "Messy but great," right? Well, the 2015 Toyota Sienna acknowledges the messiness of parenthood, and offers you a sweet window of hope in the form of a minivan that is anything but a compromise.  Allow us to elaborate in these 15 things we love about the new 2015 Toyota Sienna! Driver Easy Speak The Sienna sees your screaming and raises you a speaker system that will transfer your voice to the rear seat.  By touching a button on the screen of the new dash, you can project your voice through the speaker system to your passengers, helping you maintain control of your adorable hooligans! Smart Key System Who hasn't had that moment of baby on the hip, purse on your shoulder, and key that has sunk to the bottom of the diaper bag in pouring down rain and frigid winds?  You no longer have to dig around in the diaper bag with your one free hand and miraculously juggle child, purse, and bag around to open the door and lock baby into the car seat.  You can just touch the door, and the vehicle will sense the proximity of the key, and unlock for you.  I'm pretty sure a mom of two toddlers thought up this one! Sliding Center Console Speaking of toddlers... as they outgrow those car seats, and their hands are still only so big, spills in the car are an accepted reality of parenthood.  But we can minimize those spills with an extended sliding center console, putting cup holders within reach of those little hands. Dual View Blu Ray No more arguments over Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or Frozen on the next long holiday drive - you can have both in the 2015 Toyota Sienna XLE Premium with the Dual Screen on the Blu Ray.  It even comes with head phones so you can rock out to Kenny G (just kidding) and don't have to hear Let It Go for the fifty millionth time. Recline and Relax Again, as the kids get older - there are advantages.  Teen driver can help with the road trip while you kick back, prop your tired feet up on the ottoman (yes, ottoman), recline a tad bit, and take a nice snoozer in the 2015 Toyota Sienna Limited.  Toyotas are a long-term investment, so let's think long-term! Easy Access Kids climbing around on your upholstery  in their dirty shoes are a thing of the past - finally!  Second row seating slides all the way forward, with backs of the chairs closing in for easier access to third row seating. Power Lift Gate Another battle of arms full vs. access won!  Your smart key has a button, the lift gate has a button, your driver's seat has a button - there are multiple ways to conquer  the "You forgot to close the trunk!" debacle with the Power Lift Gate! Split N' Stow Seating I remember as a kid, watching Dad haul the seats out of the back of our minivan before a ski trip.  Those things looked heavy, and we always ended up with the seats in our dining room for a few days until Dad regained the strength to reinstall the suckers.  No worries for my generation of parents! Not only do our minivans have a bucket in the rear to store third row seats, but several trim levels even have electronic buttons - no hauling necessary! Convertible Cargo With those seats stowed in their buckets, you can convert 39 cubic feet of storage into up to 150 cubic feet of cargo area. Soft Touch Leather That sticky squeaking is soooo last decade! Our soft touch leather offers the luxury of leather with the comfort of quality fabric. (And I hear it's easy to clean to boot!) Available Dual Moonroof Be it for a little extra light for Abbey to teach Aiden how to read, or to watch the stars as they fall asleep, the dual moonroof is a luxury we love in the new Sienna! Seats Up To 8 With convertible seating and an extra option to insert a center seat on the second row, there's no way you can't take on the U-8 soccer team's spontaneous victory pizza lunch! Toyota Care There is so much that can be said for Toyota Care, that we could go on all day.  But the basics is that Toyota is here to take care of you, with a warranty and service coverage that covers the first two years of your new Sienna! New Wraparound Dash By far our favorite new feature in the new 2015 Toyota Sienna is the dash.  Designed with safety in mind, Toyota created an easy one touch system, and re-organized it to be closer to the driver, easier to reach, and thus easier for you to stay focused on the road. Safety Features With 8 standard airbags (up to 12), a 24/7 emergency response center called Safety Connect, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, standard back up camera, blind spot monitoring, parking assist, and so much more, the 2015 Toyota Sienna is built to get you and your family from Place A to Place B as efficiently and as safely as possible. The 2015 Toyota Sienna "Swagger Wagon" truly is the minivan that doesn't compromise, for those who live lives all about compromise.  Live a little, gain some swagger, and check out the new 2015 Toyota Sienna at https://www.miltonrubentoyota.com.   For more information on the latest vehicles, offers, and events at Milton Ruben Toyota, follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram. 2013 Avalon

Car and Driver, when asked about the Toyota Avalon, said, "In the past, we’ve characterized this biggest of all Toyota passenger cars as more Buick than Buick. It was a tribute—if you can call it that—to the Avalon’s quiet, competent operation, anonymous styling, and generally unobtrusive character." The Avalon has been redesigned inside and out for 2013. Toyota has gone with a much sleeker look by changing the angles of the windows, shortening the overhangs on front and rear, and lowered the beltline. The weight has been taken down almost 120 pounds, despite the more expensive use of spot welding and increased high-strength steel in the frame. The Avalon boasts a 3.5L V6 with 268hp. The Hybrid has a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with ECO and Sport modes. Inside the car, leather seats are standard and the cabin is very spacious. From the instrument panel to the multiple touchscreen displays, luxury was in mind throughout the redesign of this Avalon. There is an upgraded JBL audio system and ambient lighting to boot. Safety features include a new “variable-ratio brake pedal” that varies initial and final pedal effort, 10 airbags, stability and traction control, pre-collision mitigation, and blind-spot monitor. 2013 Toyota Highlander

Today, our Milton Ruben Toyota saleswoman, Kim Varner, does a walkaround of the 2013 Toyota Highlander. She will show you many of the features this competant, well valued sport utility vehicle comes equipped with. The Highlander comes with a choice of a 4- or 6-cylinder engine, intermittent wipers on the front and back, and 17- or 19 inch alloy wheels, depending on which model you choose. There are airbags all around, front and rear energy absorbing crumple zones, energy dissipating interior trim, and hill start assist control, among many other features for your safety. For more information, call Milton Ruben Toyota at 7068685454, or visit our website.

2013 Scion FR-S

Today, we will share with you a walkaround video of the new Scion FR-S, right here in our Milton Ruben Toyota showroom. The 2013 FR-S has a 2.0L, four cylinder boxer engine with 200 horsepower. The torque at 6,600 RPMs is 151 lb/ft, and it gets 25mpg city/highway combined with the manual transmission(28mpg with automatic). This rear wheel drive FR-S is nothing like the nearly error-proof tC; if you do not have the driving skills and experience to take it out like everyone wants to drive a sports car, it will show. A good rule of thumb is to leave the stability control on while testing your prowess. The flat four sits low in the engine compartment, keeping the center of gravity low. While the manual six-speed suits the character of the FR-S better, the optional automatic with paddle shifters is quite responsive and quick-shifting. Enjoy Milton Ruben Toyota's exploratory video, and remember, this car is great fun as long as you bring your skill along. For more information, or to test drive the 2013 FR-S, visit our showroom at Milton Ruben Toyota. You can also contact a salesperson to schedule a test drive through our website.

Toyota Among Most Reliable Cars

Toyota, Scion, and Lexus took the top three spots in Consumer Reports' reliability rankings, and the Prius C, Toyota 's own subcompact hybrid vehicle came away with the best overall score. 800,000 people submitted information on more than a million vehicles from the years 2010 to 2012. These rankings are critical for auto companies, as Americans frequently cite Consumer Reports as a main source of car-buying advice. The Prius C is the smallest in the Prius family, and has 53 mpg city rating. For your safety, it has nine airbags, whiplash lessening front seats, high-tensile-strength steel body panels, front energy-absorbing crumple zone and side-impact door beams, and all of the features you may already have, including traction control and anti-lock brakes. For more information on the latest ratings, the Toyota Prius C, or any Toyota model, contact Milton Ruben Toyota via the website, or call 888-516-3798.

In addition, Toyota will match employee contributions to the American Red Cross and other non-profits doing relief and recovery work in affected communities. Since we have operations and many dealerships in the affected regions, we felt a special responsibility to lend a hand. In addition to this contribution, many Toyota employees are already involved in volunteer activities to support those in need. We very much appreciate their support." How To Videos to Get Your Car Ready for Summer Driving and Road Trips

Is your car road ready? Milton Ruben Toyota shows you how to put air in your tires, check tire pressure, check your engine fluids, check tire tread depth, and what to do when the engine light comes on, using short informative videos. Tire Air Pressure Next to the brakes, the tires are the most important safety features on the vehicle. Incorrect tire pressure will compromise stability, braking and cornering and can possibly lead to tire failure — and a serious accident. Incorrect tire pressure also will affect your comfort, fuel economy and tire life. Guest Relations Manager Bob Holloway talks about how to check your tire air pressure, using a 2011 Camry to demonstrate: How to Put Air in Your Tires Now that you have checked your tire pressure, you will need to know how to properly put air in your tires. Here, Bob demonstrates adding and releasing air using a tire pressure gage: Checking Your Tire Tread Depth Proper tread depth prevents hydroplaning and helps with optimal traction on the road. Bob gives an easy tip to make sure your tires are road ready: Checking the Engine Fluids A peek under the hood may seem like a complicated mess of hoses, wires, blocks and belts. While some vehicle maintenance should generally be left to the professionals, there are a few things that you can easily take care of yourself. In this video, Bob talks about checking your fluids: brake fluid, engine oil, coolant or antifreeze, and power steering fluid. The Engine Light Is On! Possibly the most misunderstood indicator on the dashboard, the "check engine" light can mean many different things, from a loose gas cap to a misfiring engine. If your light comes on, you don't need to pull over and call a tow truck, but you should get the car checked out as soon as possible. Ignore the warning, and you could end up damaging expensive components. It also can be a sign that your car is getting poor fuel economy and emitting higher levels of pollutants. Bob discusses what to do when your engine light comes on: The Milton Ruben Toyota Service Department wishes you all safe travels. Should you need to get your new or used Toyota or Scion vehicle serviced, schedule an appointment through www.MiltonRubenToyota.com or by calling us at 866.344.0963.

Top Awards for 2011 Toyota Cars, Trucks, SUV's and Minivans

Toyota made a big showing in this year's automotive awards. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's "Top Safety Picks for 2011" have been released, with more vehicles included  than any previous year - and under tighter standards. IHHS writes, "To determine crashworthiness — how well a vehicle protects its occupants in a crash — the Institute rates vehicles good, acceptable, marginal, or poor based on performance in high-speed front and side crash tests, a rollover test, plus evaluations of seat/head restraints for protection against neck injuries in rear impacts. To earn TOP SAFETY PICK for 2011 a vehicle must have good ratings in all four Institute tests. In addition, the winning vehicles must offer electronic stability control." Cars, minivans and SUV's in Toyota's 2011 line up that received IIHS's "Top Safety Picks for 2011" award include: Toyota Avalon Scion tC Scion xB Toyota Corolla Toyota Sienna Toyota Highlander Toyota Venza It's important to note that the Toyota Sienna is the only "Top Safety Pick for 2011"  in the minivan category. This Toyota minivan also received an award from Kelley Blue Book's kbb.com as "Best Resale Value."  It gets kudos for having the most cargo space in its class, for being the only all-wheel-drive minivan, and for having the best combined MPG ratings of any 7-8 passenger van (according to toyota.com). Toyota also makes a big showing in U.S. News and World Reports "2010 Best Cars for the Money" awards. Noteworthy vehicles on the list include: Toyota FJ Cruiser Toyota Camry Toyota Tacoma Toyota Prius Toyota Venza Toyota Sequoia Toyota Land Cruiser The Toyota Sequoia was also awarded the "Most Dependable Large Multi-Use Vehicle" by J.D.
